Overview -- CAA Titles Most Applicable to Crude Oil and Natural Gas Extraction, Production and Processing

The Clean Air Act consists of six Titles, which, in part, define EPA’s responsibilities for protecting and improving the nation’s air quality. The Titles are further broken down into Parts and Sections. The requirements of the Act are implemented through rulemaking, and codified at Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations. For the purposes of this portion of the Portal discussion, we focus on the requirements codified under the authority of the Title 1, Part A, Sections 110-113 and Title V Sections 501-507.
